Haven't read part 1? Catch up here.
“Before I head to bed, I’m gonna sort through some chests real quick,” Master Ryan said. “I’m not takin’ over your job, man. Okay? Just helpin’ out a bit cuz golly!” He scoffed. “My chests are messy. Am I right?”
Cooper the Copper Golem completely agreed. He hadn’t been able to finish looking into all of Master Ryan’s chests yet, but the little bit he had seen was enough to know that he had a big job to do! He was glad that Master Ryan was willing to help a little bit before going to bed.
Cooper walked over to the top chest which is closest to the exit ladder. Cooper thought to himself that Master Ryan has so many chests, they should have names!
Cooper looked at the contents of the chest in front of him. It could be named something to do with nature items! There was wheat, seeds, different kinds of pretty flowers, tree saplings, bone meal, and loads of sugar cane. It also had pumpkins, carrots, and potatoes, oh my!
Oh no! There weren’t just nature and food items in this chest! It also had a leather chest plate, stairs, ladders, a shovel, and a whole boat!
What’s a boat doing in this chest? Cooper thought.
Then an idea came to his mind! The perfect name for the chest! He couldn’t think of one better!
I shall name this chest…. Chest 1. Cooper lifted his chin, happy with his decision.
He moved on to the chest below it and after careful inspection and a lot of thought he named it: Chest 2.
By the time he finished naming chests 3, 4, 5, and 6, Master Ryan left to go to bed upstairs.
Cooper continued on sorting the abundant amount of items until he heard a:
“Woof woof!”
He walked down the hall to the main area of the base. There, to his right, was Master Ryan’s dog!
Cooper tilted his head and blinked twice.
“Woof! Hi, I’m Mama Hen!” The dog said. “What’s your name?”
The copper golem paused. Master Ryan hadn’t given him a name yet. (Though we of course know that his name will be Cooper!)
“I don’t know,” he answered.
“Don’t worry! I’m sure Master Ryan will name you soon!”
The copper golem nodded. He began returning to the chest room when Mama Hen stopped him.
“Wait! You haven’t met Jared yet!”
“Jared?”
“Jared!” Mama Hen yipped.
Cooper looked around the room for another dog or another copper golem. He didn’t see anyone else!
“What’s up, Mama Hen?” A voice said.
Then Cooper saw him! The wall behind Mama Hen is a huge aquarium! Inside the aquarium was a pink axolotl.
“Master Ryan made a copper golem!” Mama Hen told Jared.
“Nice to meet you! I’ve never met a copper golem before! What do you do?”
“My job is to sort Master Ryan’s chests! Right now I’m taking inventory of everything he has.”
“Wow. That’s gonna take forever and ever! I remember being in his pockets once. He had all kinds of stuff from where I came from!”
“Where did you come from?”
“Deep inside the mines! Master Ryan pulled me out of a giant waterfall! Then he had to climb a giant wall inside the cave and fight off an army of skeletons!”
“It’s an army now, huh?” Mama Hen asked.
“It was an army!”
“The first time you told me I thought you said Master Ryan fought off two skeletons.”
“It was an ARMY! And Master Ryan fought them on the very ledge of the cave wall! He could have fallen to his doom!”
“Well, thank goodness that didn’t happen,” Mama Hen said calmly.
“He beat the skeletons?” Cooper asked.
Jared continued, “Every last one of them! And all he had to fight them off was his bow and the lava bucket he used to carry me in!”
“He carried you in a lava bucket?!” Cooper was shocked. He couldn’t imagine the little axolotl being able to survive the heat of lava!
Mama Hen answered, “The bucket used to hold lava. Master Ryan emptied it and filled it with water before he used it for Jared.”
“Mama Hen! You’re ruining the story!” Jared grumbled.
“Oh, sorry. Right. Go on.”
Jared cleared his throat. “After Master Ryan fought off the army of skeletons with his bow while balancing on the edge of the cave wall, he finally reached his safe staircase! He ate Joyride gummy bears so that he wouldn’t starve to death. Once we got here, he put me in that chest there!” Jared pointed with his small front foot.
Cooper gasped. “That’s Chest 1! You used to be in Chest 1?”
“I guess so.”
“What happened to the bucket?”
“I dunno.” Jared twirled in the aquarium before moving on. “It took Master Ryan a while to make my amazing aquarium here. He had to basically build this whole place! Mama wasn’t even here yet!”
“You weren’t?” Cooper asked. “Where were you?”
“That’s a story for another time.”
“What?!” Jared protested. “But I love that story! It’s almost as cool as mine! Please, Mama Hen! Can’t you tell him the story?”
“Not tonight, Jared. It’s getting late. We should all be going to sleep.”
“Awww! But Mama Hen!!!”
“We can talk to our new friend more tomorrow. Now say goodnight.”
“Good night, new friend,” Jared mumbled before swimming away.
“It was wonderful meeting you,” Mama Hen said kindly. “Good night.”
“Oh, wait. Mama Hen, I wanted to ask… Do you know who Master Ryan was talking to earlier? It didn’t seem like he was talking to you or Jared or me.”
“Ah yes. A lot of times Master Ryan will talk to his chickens.”
“His chickens?”
“Master Ryan has quite a few chickens outside of this house. And he’s going to be getting a lot more. A lot more.”
“Why does Master Ryan need so many chickens?”
“Well, he needs to have the same amount of chickens as he has subscribers on his Youtube Channel. If he doesn’t have the same number by the end of the year, it will mean the end of the world!”
“The end of the world?”
“Master Ryan will have to delete World 3000 forever!”
The copper golem couldn’t believe it. The entire World 3000 could be deleted?
“But don’t worry. Master Ryan has a plan. I heard that he is going to be making an automatic chicken dispenser.”
“Wow.”
“And! Master Ryan loves this world very much. He’ll do everything he can to get enough chickens by the end of the year!”
If Master Ryan will be making an automatic chicken dispenser then he is going to need his chests to be sorted! He’ll need to know where to find all the necessary items to build it! Cooper became even more motivated to do his job!
